Each of us has the gift of grit,

At the centre of our being;

Unique, personal and great,

Not some generic gene.

Grit has different guises,

That play out in various ways;

It is in finding what grit means,

That brings boldness to our days.

Do not shy away from grit,

Or fear her commanding call;

Her companionship and courage,

Will keep you walking tall.

May February 2022 be the month,

In which you find the greatness

Of the grit that lies within.
