It struck me the other day when sitting on the patio of a favourite meeting…

The benefits of rediscovering your WHY in the world of work
Many clients commence their coaching journey with the idea that what is required is career change; finding something entirely different. Running their business or working as an employee has become stale, slow, uninspiring and in their mind, no longer sustainable. It is time to move on.
This occurs at all ages. I have worked with professionals ranging from their twenties to their sixties who feel a sense of ‘stuckness’ in where they find themselves.
Some year’s back I started working with a vivacious, engaging client in her forties who had a well-established business, yet felt as if it was a total drag to get through another year. Our work together started by focusing on reviewing why and how she had created the business. Once reconnected with what it was that truly energised her, she proactively and productively acted on the visionary ideas that had been buried beneath the daily grind. Business flourished; she thrived and as the years have passed her professional recognition has gone from strength to strength, virtually becoming a household brand.
A recent client in her early thirties became re-energised when discovering more about the tremendous transferability of her skills. The excitement of recognising that her unique experience can service her sense of purpose in numerous fields and in a variety of ways was virtually palpable over our Zoom consults. All kinds of options and potential new opportunities evolved, including coming to see the value of her current work in a different light. It was an uplifting journey.
It is when our work resonates with who we are at the very centre of our being that we truly thrive. Assisting individuals in rediscovering their sense of purpose and aligning their personal energy with what they do in the world or work is an absolute joy.
